RUGBY REFEREES
ASSOCIATIONS-ANNUAL MEETING. The New Zealand Referees' Association held its annual meeting in the V.M.C.A. Building last night. Mr. D. M'Kenzie was voted to the chair. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. sum of £3 3s was voted to the New Zealand Wounded Soldiers' Fund. The secretary was instructed to write to associations who have not supplied the names for the vice-presidents to represent them, such to be added to the list by the executive when received. The following motion was carried s — "That this association places on record its hearty appreciation of the manner in which Mr R. M. Isaacs had carried out the duties of president since the inception of the association, and expresses its regret that, owing to his removal from Wellington, he has been compelled to sever his connection with the association ; and that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Isaacs." Officers were elected as follow : —President, Mr. D. M'Kenzie; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. Nicholson (Auckland), A. Lees (Taranaki). L. Simpson (Wellington), A. E. Neilsen (Hawkes Bay), W. Hay (Poverty Bay), F H. Alexander (Bay of Plenty), A. Parlane (Waiapu), W Cavanagh (Hamilton), G. H. Johnson" (Nelson), C. Buchanan (Canterbury), Hector Cox (South Canterbury), and L. L. Murphy (Southland) ; secretary and treasurer, Mr. L. Sievers (reelected) ; management committee, Messrs. J F. O'Sullivan, C. Eyre. W. O'Connell. K. Wyllie, C. R. Ingram, and J. Francis ; hon. auditor, Mr C. H. Mans On.
