GUT OF MOTOR-BOAT
A handsome gift towards the Hospital Ship is announced in a letter received by the Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke) from Mr. W. H. Sefton Moorhouse, who writes : — "I note that motor-boats are required for the Hospital Ship. I have an American steel motor-boat 18ft long, 4ft beam, speed_ 10 miles an hour, to seat 9 persons. This has just been imported and has cost £125, is unsinkabls, and cannot be injured by exposure to the sun. The^ boat has not been in the water and is in new order. lam willing to give this as a contribution to the Hospital Ship if it is at all suitable."
