GERALDINE RACING CLUB
(BY TBLEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION.) TIMARU, 27th May. At the annual meeting of the Geraldine Racing Club the credit balance was stated to be £502, an increase of £80 on l?st year, after spending £163 on improvements and voting £250 for patriotic pin-poses. Mr. O'Malley, the late president, declined office again on account of remarks alleged to have been made by the patron of the club, Mr. W. Nosworthy, M.P., reflecting on his religion.. '• Mr. Isosworthy was re-elected patron by 17 votes to 16 : and Mr. J. Kennedy was elected president. A letter from the chief officers of the Ashburton County Racing Olub asked for co-operation in requesting Mr. Hugo Friedlancler to resign his appointment on the Racing Conference on the ground that he is a German, though naturalised. A motion to the effect that no further action be taken was carried.
