SATURDAY'S MATCHES. OPENING OF "SEASON'S PLAY. The Wellington Rugby League opens its Reason on Saturday, and will make an immediate start with the championship series of inter-club fixtures. A meeting of the executive was held on -Monday evening, and the. following matches were drawn :—- Senior— Petone v. Hutt. at HuttP&rk No. 1 ground (referee, Mr. K. "Barber) ; | Athletic v. Suburbs, at Newtown Pal'k j {referee, Mr. C. Murphy). , | Junior— Pctone Ay. Centyal, at Kol1 bum Park' (referee. Mr. R. " Leatham) j ! Hutt. v. Petbne B, at Hutt Park (referee. i Mr. J. Wray). Tho Newtown senior and Suburbs junior team stand out on byes.
