WEATHER CONDITIONS
An intense westerly storm rules to th<* southward of New Zealand. Yesterday the barometer at the Macquaries recorded the extremely low temperature*, of 28.68. A high pressure prevails in the northern part of the Dominion, though the weather is cloudy and overcast in most parts. Strong westerly winds are likely, especially southward of Cook Strait, and rain is probable, particularly in the West Coast and Southern districts.
