COST OF UPKEEP. A statement of finances connected with the purchase and upkeep of Williams Park, Day's Bay, was submitted by the Reserves Committee of the City Council last evening. Following were the ; details : — Capital cost : Purchase money £14,060, less donations £2701 6s lid and Govern • ment subsidy £1000, £3701 6s lldj] leaving a balance of £10,348 13s Id. Receipts : Tea rooms, £127 15s 3d ; laughing gallery, 13s 9d ; slot machine, £10 _4s 7ii ; water fees, £127 4s 6d ; ■ tennis courts, £48 Is 6d ; side shows,' £7 10s 8d ; lighting (Harbour Board), £7 10s; sundries, £6 19s 6d; use 0$ grounds, £18 0s Id ; rents, £75 16s Bd. Total, £429 16s 6d. Expenditure : Wages, £632 5s lid ;' goods, £73 17s sd ; timber, £43 10s 4d ; forage, £31 2s 7d 5 fuel, £4 13s 6d ; car. bide, £12 Us 9d; repairs and sundries, £50 17s lOd; dressing sheds, £219 9s; rates, £36 0s 8d; insurance, £10 10s; range, £25,' rent, land, and survey, £16 7s 2d; nets, £8 14s. Total, £1165 0s 2d.
