TAUMAR.UNUL Bth March. ,A man named Henry Merrin, a ganger On \ 6n l a^ ra il w ay formation contract on the Stratford Main Trunk line., was so severely injured by a truck at Mahirakau, 15 miles from Taumarunui, on Saturday morning that he died ten minutes after admission, to the Taumarunui Hospita.l at 1 o'clock the same evening^ Merrin. has two brothers in the Kaiapoi district, Canterbury, but no other relatives in New Zealand. A verdict of accidental death was returned at the inquest.
