Bell, Minister of Internal Affair's, has writteh to Mr. Witty, M.P V declining to grant permission for trotting events at the Papanui Sports, as to do so would create a precedent. While the object is a worthy one, the relief of the Belgians, to grant the application might lead to many others asking for a similar concession.
