PATRIOTIC FUNDS (BY TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
DUNEDIN, This Day. There was general advocacy this morning by members of the . Patriotic Committee that the Government should immediately take measures to compel all who could to contribute to the patriotic funds, or, failing that, the Government should augment voluntary subscriptions to the sum required. The Mayor and Messrs. John Roberts and J. A. Johnstone and tho Rev. R. S. Gray were appointed delegates lo a Wellington Conference on Friday.
