ARMED POLISH PEASANTS
CAPTURES OF GERMANS. (Received March 6, 9 a.m.) PETROGRAD, sth March. Peasant men and women in Northern Poland dnring the German invasion armed themselves with old muzzle-loaders, scythes, and hayforks, and voluntarily patrolled the roads and forests. The Grand Duke Nicholas, generalissimo of the Russian Army, was delighted to see some of them with Germans whom they had captured.
