MAGISTRATE'S COURT
A sitting of the Magistrate's 'Court was held to-day, before Captain W. H. Hennah and Mr R. D. HanlOn, Justices of the Peace. Michael Sullivan admitted that, after having some drink, he made a "bit of a fool" of himself. For insobriety he was fined ss, in default twenty-four hours in gaol, and, further, he wag ordered to make good damage done by him to the extent of 16s, or spend 48 hours in custody. An old man named James M'Keever was declared an. incorrigible rogue and a vagabond and sent to gaol for one month. He was convicted and discharged for insobriety. George Hume, who was convicted of drunkenness and discharged, was remanded until Wednesday next for committing a breach of his piohibition order. A youth named Harold Robinson was charged with creating a breach of the peace in Manners-street. He became annoyed with somebody who accidentally knocked against him, and as a result of the subsequent disturbance, vehicular and pedestrian traffic was held up. A fine of £1, in default forty-eight hours in gaol, was imposed.
