LODGE MEETINGS
The fortnightly mooting of Pacific Lodge U.A.O.D. was presided over by Bro. H. Abel, A.D. The amount passed as sick Eay showed an improvement in the general ealth of members. Four new members were proposed. The officers will again enter for the competition for Ritual Shield. The visitors were: —D.P. Bro. Edge, P.D.P. Bro. Mullins (Poneke), P.A. Bro. Ladd, and A.D. Bro. Raven, of Melrose Lodge, to which lodge an official visit will be paid on the 13th October. Oddfellows and Foresters met in the Oddfellows' Hall last evening, in the halfyearly cribbago tournament for tho Madeley Ibbotson shield. The result was a win for the Foresters by 61 games to 53. About 80 players were engaged. The shield was handed over by Bro. A. Perrin, P.P.G.M., on behalf of the Oddfellows, to Bro. Taylor, P.C.R., who received it for the Foresters. ,
Mrs. Miller, 52, Adelaide-road, advertises that, she has a varied stock of ladies' and children's linen for summer wear, all made on tho premises. At 1.30 p.m. to-morrow Messrs, C. W. Prke and Co. will soil tho contents of gevon rooms, on tbo promises, No. 9, Edge Hill, off Kent-terrace.
