Government buying oats. Gartone, worth 30s; Australian flour, 40s per sack; wheat, 455." The following cablegram has been received from the High Commissioner, dated London, sth August, 1914 :— "Frozen meat trade less than normal.' Prices are higher since last week by id Ser lb for mutton, Id for lamb, lid for Tew Zealand beef, and l£d for chilled beef."
