MILKING MACHINE PATENT
- AN-ALLEGED INFBINGEMENT. An allegation of the infringement of a patent formed the basis of an action continued at the Supreme Court to-day, before his Honour Mr. Justice Stringer. The plaintiffs were the Gillies Milking Machine Company, and the defendants the Gain Milking Machine Co., Sir John Findlay, K.C., with Mr. D. M. Findlay,, appearing for the former, and Mr. C, P. Skerrett, K.C., with Mr. W. E. Moore,.for the latter. The hearing of the action was commenced at - Auckland. The . plaintiffs claimed that the Gillies machine was the first to which the air principle of working had been applied, and that the defendants had infringed the patent. The litigation proceedings were adjourned to Wellington, where to-day further lengthy evidence was heard. - The case it likely to extend over some days.j
