DAVIS CUP
1 'VI CANADA AND AUSTRALASIA. WILDING'S WORK. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright.) CHICAGO, 25th July. Although to-day's events between Canada and Australasia did not affect the Cup series, every game was hard fought. Schwengers gave a better account of himself than hitherto, but the marvellous accuracy of the tall New Zealander won. The Canadian was forced all over the court, while Wilding seemed barely moving yet doing practically all tho work. Despite his rallies, Schwettgers was completely outplayed, Wilding winning 7-5, 6-3, 6-1. Brookes had a walk-over, defeating Powell 6-0, 6-1, 6-3.
