During the Report stage of the Riotous Asemblies Bill in the Union Assem* bly, the penalties throughout were" reduced. The Bill now malces deportation applicable only to persons actually condieted, At a meeting attended by a thousand people, the Bill was publicly burned. Later those who were at tho meeting took part in a demonstration outeid« Parliament Buildings.
