GORE-HEDGEHOPE RAILWAY. (HI TBLBQIUPH.— PRKSS ASSOCIATION,) GOB*.. This Day. A largely-attended, meeting of representatives of the Gore, Croydon. Churl* ton, Waimumu, Hedgehope, and Glcli* coe branches of the Gore-Hedgehopo Railway League was lielf 1 at Gore yesterday. It wns resolved that tho Government be deputationised to take the necessary steps to have the Gore-Hedge» hope- railway aut'^rised this session, tt was further resolved to recommend the Government to acquire several suitable properties in the Waimumu district for closer settlement. Enthusiastic meetings were held, at which Gore and Mataitra branches of th© Southland League wee formed.
