VISIT OF MISCHA ELMAN

To music lovers of the Dominion the visit of Mischa Elman is one fraught with more than ordinary interest, for this young virtuoso is universally acknowledged as without an equal in. the world in the art of violin playing. Consequently his advent hero in the Town Hall on Thursday and Saturday, 2nd and 4th July next, should occasion more than ordinary interest. The Musical Times, England, writes of Elman that "he sets ones mind in a whirl with his startling feats of virtuosity which embrace every school of writing, every style and every period." The Musical Courier, of New York, America's authority on matters musical, wrote: "Mischa Elman is a-natural-born violin player by the grace of God such as the world has seen only rarely ; we consider him oilo of the most colossal violin geniuses tho world has even seen." Then take France; the Paris paper Le, Matin wrote of him . "The boy is a genius: this is no exaggerated statement when r considering in Lhe past such players as Tartim, Viotto, Rode."
