LAWN TENNIS
The council of the "New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association will hold its quarter* ly meeting on Thursday next. In its report the Management Committee states that since the last meeting of the council Messrs. M. E. Denniston and A. W. Young have been appointed to vacancies on the committee caused by the resignation of the Hon. F. M. B. Fißher and Mil A. L. Berry. An application for the 1914 New Zealand championships to be held in Dunedin is under favourable consideration. The Ayres ball has been readopted upon )ho same conditions as last year. The Australasian Association has decided to hold over any distribution of the share of proceeds from the last Davis Cup match until a financial statement of the hext Davis Cup match be received. There is a cash balance of £378 11s lOd.
