During the adjournment for the official luncheon to the Governor-General (Sir Ronald Munro-Ferguson), the mace mysteriously disappeared from the table of the House. A protracted search proved unavailing. The mace subsequently reappeared on the table of the House. It dropped from tho place where a practical joker had hidden it under a Ministerial bench. The No-Preference Bill was earned through its second stage, on the casting vote of the Speaker. Tho sitting continues.
