ANNUAL MEETING. (MX TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, Ist April. At tho annual meeting of the Provi< dent Life Assurance Company, the chairman of directors (Dr. Roberts) congratulated shareholders on tho successful year. In the ordinary branch 692 proposals were completed, the sum assured being £91,911^ and in the industrial branch 11,931 new policies were issued, assuring £350,000. In the ordinary braaich tho gross premiums amounted to £9208 3s sd. The mortality experience for the last two years has been 50 per cent, below expectations. The total of claim settlements was £10,713 4s 4d. The total income for the year was £52,073 2s lOd, and the funds to-day exceeded £100,000. The report -was adopted.
