TROUBLE IN CHINA HUNDREDS OF EXECUTIONS
QUESTION OF FINANCIAL CONTROL. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) (Received April 1, 8.30 a.m.) PEKIN, 31st March. There have been widespread outbreaks in China. Severe measures were taken by the authorities, and they were crushed. There have been hundreds of executions in Pekin. Many ex-Parliamentarians were courtmartialled and shot. China is disposed to court open partition sooner than surrender financial control to the Five-Power group of bankers. Englishmen in Pekin urge that it is time Great Britain openly staked out her claims in China.
