SWIMMING
IHORx^DON QLUB. In the swim-off for the Thorndon Club's championship, Evans beat M'Lean and Dudson, and thus annexed the Ward challenge cup. A sealed diving handicap which was got off last night resulted:— X. Wiggins 1, F. Roberts 2. The other competitors were: J. Thomas, A. Shearer, S. !). Shearer, R. Evans, C. Davidson, W. Lomas, S. Henrys, and F. Reynolds. Messrs. Ropayne and Cloake officiated os judges. The club will hold a fifty yards consolation race to-morrow. This will be the final event of the season.
