TJic many friends of the- Mission to Seamen will be interested to know that the work has been well maintained during the first quarter of the current year. Notwithstanding the absence of the missioner on holiday during the month of February the attendance of seamen has been very encouraging, and the various agencies of the mission have been used by large numbers of men. The concerts and social evenings have continued to be a source of attraction. The mis&ionor (Mr. W. E. Cocks) is formulating plans for a busy and attractive winlor's work with the intent of making the institute increasingly attractive to seafarers of all classes. A forward movement, in connection with the leligions work is contemplated, by which it is hoped to roach a larger number of penmen. Special arrangements arc in progress for the Easter season. Dining Haiy Week short services will be liekT each evening, when "The Story of the Cioss" will be sung; ami on CJood Friday evening a lantern service will take' place. Special services will be held on Easter Sunday. Letters were received by ' the last English mail from the London Committee congratulating the Wellington management ou the work done in tho past.' " "
