POLITICAL ADDRESS
MR. NOSWORTHY AT GERALDINE (« TKLIORAPU.-PKKSS ASSOCIATION.) TIMARD, This Day. Mr. Noj? worthy, M.P. for Ashburton, addressed the electors at the Geraldino Volunteer Hall last night. There was a, large attendance. Mr. Nosworthy spoke strongly in favour of the Government, and dealt at length with the Upper House, the Public Service, naval defence, the late strike, the coming general election, and the Bible in schools. A motion of "best thanks" was carried, as against an amendment of "no confidence in Mr. No6worthy/ !
There have been only two bankruptcies in Wellington since the opening of the year.. One of these wag in March.
