MAYORAL CAMPAIGN
Mr. D. M'Lm'en continued his Mayoral campaign by delivering an open-air address in Dixon-strect on Saturday evening. As the first Labour councillor in Wellington and the first Labour Mayor, Mr. M'Laren said it must be recognised that he had not shirked the hard pioneer work. Trade and business were improving, and the city could and should now proceed with several important works, which could not, for financial reasons, be undertaken during his previous term of office. Ho advocated the establishment of public hot water baths, and tho improvement of housing conditions. His object was to promote the best interests of the whole body of citizens and to advance the city I generally. ,
