THE WORLD RELIGION-WHAT IS IT ?

o Miss C. W. Christie lectured last week on the above subject for the Order of the Star in the East. There was an appreciative audience. At the beginning of each great race, said the lecturer, a teacher comes to give the keynote for the whole of the evolution of that race. Rome, for instance, had law, Greece beauty. The last time He came, it was self-sacrifice, next time it will be for brotherhood. At present, many sections in the world are trying to sound the keynote, and, as might be expected, a great discord is the result, as is shown by the general state of unrest throughout the whole world. When, with the help of the Divine Teacher, who is so eagerly expected by very many, each sounds correctly the note given them, the chord which will vibrate from pole to pole and back to its source, the All Father, will be of such grandeur that nothing like it will ever have been heard in the world before, "You who arc members of the Order of the Star profess to have caught the keynote ; let us see to it that the sound goes out so clear and true that none can mistake it. so that the 'Master when Ho comes will bo able to say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."'
