LEATHER-HUNTING NEW ZEALAND TEAM HAS A WARM TIME
ARMSTRONG AND CRAWFORD BUSY. (H TEbEORAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND This Day. The test cricket match, Australia v. New Zealand, was resumed to-day in fine but oppressive weather. Crawford and Armstrong, the not-outs, went to the wickets at 12.10. Robinson opened to Crawford, Saunders bowling from the pavilion end. In the first over Robinson was twice no-balled. Runs came freely after the batsmen had settled down, and the fifth century was soon hoisted. At 504 Bennett went on to bowl. At 12.35 the score was 515 for five wickets. At the lunpheon adjournment the Australian score was six wickets for 610. Crawford, c Bennett, b Holland ....134 Armstrong, not out 110 Extras 21 Later. The Australians declared their innings closed at 610 for 6ix wickets. NEW ZEALAND IN AGAIN. Patrick and M'Mahon opened New Zealand's second • innings. Ten runs came off the- first two overs. A shower of rain caused an adjournment.
