BATTLE SQUADRON FOR BANTRY
BAY. (Received March 30, 8.50 a.m.) LONDON, 29th March. The second battle squadron of the Home Fleet has been ordered to Bantry Bay in pursuance of orders issued early in March. DEFENCE LEAGUE FUND. , (Received March 30, 8.30 a.m.) LONDON, 29th March. Th© Union Defence League fund has reached £70,000. Mr. Walter Morrison an ex-member of the House of Commons, has offered £10,000 towards the fund to recompense officers deprived of their pensions.
