THE RECENT STRIKE MR. NATHAN'S STATEMENTS
CRITICISED BY THE PREMIER (II TELEGRAPH.— SPECIAL TO THI POST.) DUNEDIN, This Day. Referring at Tapanui to Mr. D. J. Nathan's statements at Sydney in reference to the recent strike, the Premier said : " This man had a political grievance against the Government, and he (Mf. Massey) knew 1 the cause of it. There were scores of papers which did not support the Government. This man ought to know better. He was a man who toiled not, neither did he spin, yet he was prepared to foul his own nest in order to have a- slap at the Government."
