LODGE MEETINGS

Representative Druids in the Welling- ' ton district attended the Island Bay Lodge on Thursday evening, the occasion being tho installation of Bro. A. C, H. Beu as District President of No. 21 District. The Arch Druid, Bto. Bailey, presided, and after the routine business, the retiring D.P., Bro. J. King, duly conducted the impressive installation ceremony. The Arch Druid then thanked the retiring D.P. for his assistance to the Island Bay Lodge during his term of office, and also congratulated Bro. Beu on attaining so high an office, adding that he little doubted that Bro. Beu would -also assist the lodge well. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the visitors, especially the distinguished representatives of the Royal Arch Chapter. Tho following lodges were represented: Poneke, Pacific, Melrose, Coronation, Pride of Brooklyn, and Excelsior, and Past Arch Bto. Todd, of Stratford, was also present. The representatives of visiting lodges responded in a suitable manner, as well as the Royal Arch Chapter, and the Druids' Sports Association representatives. It was decided by the Island Bay Lodge to enter various teams for different 6ports, and also to enter the contest for the shield provided by the Royol Arch Chapter for ritual ceremonial. The lodge then went into harmony, supper being provided, and brothers I of various lodges contributing to a much appreciated programme.
