As th« result of representations made to the Railway Department by Sir Walter Buchanan. M.P.. a cart dock is to be provided at the Dalefield Railway Station to facilitate the handling of small consignments of cheese, etc. The contractor has made a start with the construction, of the new Waiohin^ Bridge at South Carterton. The annual meeting of the South Wairarapa Poultry Association takes place here next week, when, amongst other things, the matter of whether the next show will bo conducted upder Auckland or Wellington rules will be considered.
