LYALL BAY MUNICIPAL ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Lyall Bay and Maranui Electors' Association was held last night. Mr. J. R. Stanseil presided over an attendance of about thirty members. The objects of the newly-formed body were set forth as : (1) Advocacy of necessary public work, and efficient administration of municipal affairs; (2) to protect the interests of die electors, and to create and foster a healthy public spirit on all questions affecting the welfare of the district and city. Rules and regulalions were adopted. The annual subscription wa.« fixed at 2s Gd. The election of officers resulted as follow : — President, Mr. G. E. Smith ; vicepiesidents, Messrs. J. R. Slansell, F. J. Evans, R. Boutcll, C. Foster, and A. W. Moran ; secretary and treasurer, Mr. D. Carman ; executive committee, Messrs. H. Ward, C. Stone, H. R. Page, C. J. Ashton, G. ,Creighton, D. T. Lambert, J. Fairway, J. Robinson, and H. A. Chapman ; hon. auditors, Messrs. E. C. Rowe and J. Robinson.
