HOSPITAL NURSES
At the meeting of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board yesterday, the Hospital Committee reported the resignation of Nurses M. J. Gray and B. 8. Greig, also of Nurse Everitt as masseuse on the hohorary medical staff. Dr. M'Kenzie said there were many probationers on the staff, and the board was losing all its nurses who were trained No steps were being taken to prevent that state of alfairs. He thought that the Hospital ought to have a trained nursing staff. If they allowed their senior nurses to leave soon after they were trained the Hospital would be always in the position of having a staff of unqualified nurses. Several members of the board maintained that, the, nursing staff was fully efficient. , The Chairman moved, "That the* Medical Suj>erintendent be asked to report upon the efficiency of the nursing staff, and the number of nursed who had retired during the past year." The Chairman's resolution was agreed to.
