WANGANUI, sth March. At a meeting of the Museum Trustees to-night the Curator reported that ho had received information from an authoritative source that two pairs of huias had been seen in the bush near Wanganui. _ Mr. Thompson. Director of the Dominion Museum, and the Minister of Internal Affairs had heard of this, and had approached the local museum authorities asking for information as to tho locality, and offering assistance to secure specimens. It was decided to reply stating that the information regarding the huia3 supposed to have been seen was meagre. Enquiries were being prosecuted and the Government was asked as to its intention.
