INQUEST
The adjourned inquest touching the death of Richard Mostyd-Hoops, of Oriental-terrace, commercial traveller, was resumed by the Coroner, Mr. J. S. Evans, S.M., on Saturday. After hearing the evidence of Dr. Gilmer, a verdict of death from perforation of the stomach (which the post-mortem examination revealed to be in an unhealthy condition) was returned. Dr. Gilmer said deceased had no doubt taken alcohol and opium to relieve the pain.
Already a dozen special tram-cars have been booked for Sunday-school picnics on Thutsday next (Anniversary Day). Most of the specials are to go to Karon. ~ ■
