HARBOUR BOARD

The usual meeting of the Harbour Board was held last evening. Present — the chairman .(Mr. R. Fletcher), Messrs. M. Cohen, W. T. Hildreth, J. Trevor, J. W. M'Ewan, J. jDobbe, C. E. Daniell, C. W. Jones, A. M'Farlane, A. H. Hindmarsh, A. D. Kennedy, R. A. Wright, and Captain Watson. The tender of Messrs. J. H. Meyer and Co. for the Pipitea Wharf store, being the lowest, was accepted. "The board resolved to authorise the engineer to obtain prices from selected firms for two or three high-speed overhead electric cranes for Pipitea Wharf store No. 1. The engineer was authorised to complete survey and subdivision of the board's Worser Bay land with a view to submitting sections for leasing under the Public Bodies Leasing Act. Recognition was accorded to tho nowly-formed Wellington Harbour Board Permanent Employees' Association.
