THE EMPRESS THEATRE.
Three "feature" dramas appeared today with the new programme of the Empress Theatre continuous pictures. The A.B. Company's sensational story, "The Adopted Brother," takes first place. It is a character study in which tho performers have adopted themselves to their respective roles with artistic results. In the Vitagraph Company's drama, "The Drop of Blood," Slick, a pickpocket., awears to be avenged upon Johnston, a detective, because Carniina, tho giri_wh& scorns the former, is about to marry his more respectable rival. While visiting the Italian quarter Johnson is stabbed in the back by the pickpocket, and Carmina sets out and brings about his con yiction. "The Blind Basket. Weaver" is a vivid story by Kalem, and possesses an appealing plot. There are several other attractive items, including "Alev-, andria," a scenic study, and "Her Wooden Leg," a mirthful Lubin comedy. New selections will be contributed by the full orchestra this evening.
