In the Legislative Assembly Mr. | M'Gowen, Minister for Labour and Industries, announced that he anticipated that the negotiations in progress would resutt in a settlement of the Barrier strike in & day or two. Meantime, the wholesale firms were unable to deliver goods, and retail suppliers were running short.
