The Navigation Act, which hag just received the Royal assent, will not be proclaimed for some time m order to allow owners ample time to make the necessary structural alterations to vessels. The Act means a tremendous revolution in Australian shipping methods. STIR IN SHIPPING CIRCLES. OVERSEAS COMPANIES' COMPLAINTS. (Received August 20, 9.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The proposed proclamation of the Navigation Act is causing a stir jn shipping . circles. Representatives of overseas companies complain that many of the clauses are adverse to their interests, and will seriously affect trade.
