AUCTION AND PROPERTY SALES

Messrs. J. H. Bethune, and Co. will sell, on Wednesday next, at 2.30 p.mf., at their rooms, business premises, No. 200, Cuba-street, near < Ingestre-street. The land hae a frontage of 20ft to Cubastreet by a depth of 115 ft 3in, and on it 'stands shop, office, &hd dwelling of five rooms, with workshop at the back. On the same date, "under instructions from the Registrar r of the Supreme Court,, they' will sell' three properties at Petone. These comprise three sections of land in Matocheeter-street, each 43ft by 131 ft, with eix-roomed dwellings, Nos. 18, 20, and 22. On Tueeday, 18th March, at 2.30 p.m., under instructions from Mrs. Mary Hannah Buxton, the firm are submitting a property near Manakau, comprising 8826 acres and 2 roods. On Wednesday, 19th inst., at 1_ p.m., at their rooms, under instructions from .Sir John Eindlay, they are selling hie library, comprising some 3000 volumes, including many rare editions handsomely bound. Complete catalogues aro being prepared, and' the books will be on view a week before the sfile. The firm insert an amended list of business and residential properties which they ' have on their books for 1 private sale; aJeo a number of houses to let, both furhished and unfurnished, offices and storeroom accommodation. Messrs. E. Johnston and ' Co. will hold a sale of household furniture on the i premises, Campbell-street, Karon, on Monday morning, at 11 o'clock, on account of the Ecv. Mr. Clarke, who ds giving up housekeeping. At 2 o'clock on the same day, at Tory-street, on ac--1 count of Mr. I. Mizracki, they will sell his household furniture and balance of his stock-in-trade. On Tuesday, at the film's rooms, Lambton-quay, they will hold a sale of furniture. On Wednesday'and Thursday next, commencing at 1.30 o'clock each day, 'they will hold a sale of £2000 worth -of unredeemed pledges, on account of W. Smart, pawnbroker, Willis-street. A detailed list of the pledges is advertised in our auction columns. On Friday morning, at 10.30 sharp, on the ground, Waterlooquay, they will hold a sale 0f, 60.000 feet of timber and 1000 sheets of iron. Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co. will sell, for removal, on Wednesday, at 11 a.m., 2 shops situate in Manhers-street, next to the Duke of Edinburgh Hotel. At 12 o'clock they will offer a property situate 57, Hawker-street, comprising an 8-roomed house erected on a section 32ft by 120 ft. In the afternoon at 1.30 p.m. they will hold a sale of furni« ture ; also 2 pianos. A preliminary announcement also appears that on 13th and 14th March, they will sell under instructions from Sir J. Findlay, the whole of the contents of his house, known as "Waihemo," Bpulcotf- terrace. Catalogues are now being prepared. Attention is also directed to the Miramar sections. Messrs. Harcourt and Co. will sell, on Tuesday, at 2.30 p.m., a family residence of 10 rooms, boing part of town acre 612, having 51ft 6in frontage to the road by a depth of 110 ft. The section is known as "No. 50, Hobsonstreet. _ On Thursday, at 2 p.m., the firm will sell in their auction rooms household furniture removed from Khandallah for the convenience of gale. The furniture will be on view on tiie morning of the sale. An amended selection of properties for sale by private treaty, or to be let, in Wellington or suburbs, is also inserted. Messrs. Thomson and Brown will sell on Wednesday, at their auctions rooms, at 2.30 p.m., town* acre 1039, having a frontage of 165 ft to Brittomart-etreet by a depth of 264 ft, together -with tho nineroomed residence erected thereon. On Wednesday, 12th March, the_ firm will sell a ten-roomed residence in Vogelstreet. Messrs. Townsend and Paul, Ltd., advertise the sale by auction of the. contents of two cottages. The furniture has been removed to the Worser Bay Kiosk, where the sale will be held on Tuesday, 4th inst., at % o'clock. On Monday, at 11 a.m.. at their rooms, Fruit Exchange, Blair-street, Thompson Bros., Ltd.. will sell one horse., spring cart and harness, one pony, saddle and bridle. The Kopane land sale will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, loth March, at the salerooms of Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Palmerston North, particulars are advertised in this issue.
