Riddell, S.M. :— William Jenkinsoii, dyer and cleaner, Wellington/ sued Herman Hayman Kahn, clothier, Wellington, for £3 0s 6d', the value of a tyre and inner tube of a side-car, alleged to have been damaged through the negligent and unskilful driving by defendant of a motorbicycle, to which ihe eide-cai' Was at- ' tacned. The side-car had been lent by J*enkinson to Kahn for an afternoon's run on the Hntt-road. JVfr. Mr P. Luckie appeared for plai# tiff^and Mr. J. Dickson for the defendant. His Worship gave judgment for plaintiff, for £1 10b costs, and £1 witness's expenses. At the .Mount Cook Police Court today, before Mr. T. W. Pilcher, J.P., three- p^otis were charged with drunkennees. ' Kate Flood was convicted and discharged, and John Harris and a. first offender, the latter of whom did not appear, were each fined 10s, in default forty-eight hours' imprisonment.
