CHARGE OF PERJURY
SEQUEL TO WAIHI SHOOTING CASE. (BY TELEGRAPH— PBESS ASSOCIATION.) * AUCKLAND, This Day. At 'the Sapremo Court. Walter Edmund Harvey was charged with perjury in stating: at an inquest on the man Evans, killed during the Waihi riots, that lie di«l not have a revolver at Karaiijahako, and had not pointed it at another miner. Tho evidence showed that Harvey said at the inque-t -that he had never carried a .revolver .in New Zealand Three miners declared that he had pointed a revolve* in their direction, and said he had. the men covered. No evidence waa called on behalf of prisoner.
