Time, lmin 43sec. - Petre Hack Handicap, of 110 soya ; sis y furlongs. — Lockwood. 7.5, 1 ; Heather, 8.7, 2; Silver Kose, 7.0, 3. Scratched : Postillion, Dcnise, Orme, and Jackpin. Won by half a length, a neck between second and third. Time," lmin 15 l-ssec. Westmere Hurdles, of 175 soys ; two miles. — Sandy Paul, 9.12, 1 ; Bercola, 9.12, 2; .Marton, 9.0. 3. Scratched: Sleacombe. Time, 3min 57 l-ssec. Won by two lengths comfortably. The stipendiary stewards are enquiring into Patnotic's running in the Stewards Handicap. E. 4 Lowe, rider of Patriotic, was suspended for the meeting for not riding his mount out.
