POULTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS
NELSON, 25th February. The largest and most enthusiastic meeting of poultrymen for many years was held last evening, and it was unanimously decided to affiliato with the New Zealand Championship Association just registered in Wellington. Mr. E. Gallichan, secretary- of tho new association,' was nreseht, and explained the proposed working of the championship body. There will be championship shows in Wellington and Chrigtchurch and four provincial championships, one for Otagoand Southland combined, one for Canterbury, . one for Wellington, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Marlborough, and' Westland combined, and ono for Auckland. Mr. Gallichan will visit other centres. The new association will be in working order next show season. Tho Wellington societies have affiliated, Nelson being the fourth. Picton, Blenheim, and other societies are favourably disposed.
