ADMIRAL SIR GEORGE KING-HALL AT THE V.M.C.A.

Yeaterday afternoon, at the Young Men's Christian Association, the men were addressed by His Excellency Admiral Sir George King-Hall. Mr. Jameson, na« tional eecretary for the Young Men's Christian Associations throughout New Zealand, introduced His Excellency, and spoke of the interest he had taken in the work of the Young Men's Christian Associations in different parts. The Admiral said he was ghtfl to come, because he knew something of the work of the V.M.C.A., and because it recognised that we are all essential spiritual beings, and also that it recognised that we have minds and bodies to develop as well as our spiritual nature. God wanted U6 to develop all our faculties, and if we developed one at the expense of another we would bo going contrary to God's wishes. Our spirit*,, minds, and bodies must work' in harmony. Men were watching us on all sides, .and we should remember that by our lives w© were influencing other men. The president of the association (Mr. H. W. Kersley) and Mr. E. R. Peacock (chairman of the National Committee for the Young Men's Christian Associations of Australia and New Zealand) expressed, on behalf of the association, their deep sense of gratitude to His Excellency for being present that afternoon. At the close of tho meeting, Master Keith Finlay presented the visitor with some beautiful roses.
