THEFT OF SOVEREIGNS FOR ALEXANDRIA. ROBBERS NOW STEAL THE CASES. By Telegnpb.— Press Association,— Copyright. (Received December 7, 8 a.m.) LONDON, 6th December. The cases from wHich the gold consigned to Alexandria was stolen, and which were being sent to England f6r examination, have disappeared. It is supposed the robbers of the gold intercepted them. [Early in October ten thousand sovereigns were stolen and replaced by lead in a consignment of 200,000 sovereigns sent to Egypt. The money waa consigned by the Bank of England to the Credit Lyonnais at Alexandria, and the boxes bore the seals of both banks. The seals were intact upon arrival of the boxes at Alexandria.]
