LODGE MEETING
Sister Denby, C.T., presided over the weekly meeting of the Hope of Petone Lodge of Good Templars heW in Ranfurly • Hall, Sydney-street,* Petone, last night. Visitors were officially received from the Star of Wellington Lodge, the Naval Lodge, and Red Grose. The brothers of the Red Cross were asked to fill' the chairs, and carry the business of tho lodge through for the evening. One new member was initiated into the Order by Sister Denby, C.T. It was reported that a committee of three brothers of the Hope of 1 Petone Lodge was arranging for a brake party to pay a visit to the Star of Wellington Lodge at a later date. After the business of the lodge had been gone through, the following contributed to an excellent musical programme : — Sisters Weston, Hyde, and M'Ginnit-y, and Brothers Bentley, Lambert, Bell, Price, Murphy, Townsend, Donaldson, and Rose. At the conclusion of the programme Brother, Townsend. all the visiting members, aad the Naval Lodge, were given a vote of thanks. Brother Murphy, C.T. of the Naval Lodge, and Brother Price, of the Star of Wellington Lodge, responded. Sister Job will be in charge of next week's meeting, which is • entitled "Christmaa ' Greetings. ' '
