MANAGERS' REPORTS. Waitangi.— The low level is in a total distance of 3744 ft, and the reef ie 6ft in width. Ttie last assay give* vaJue^ of 9s 3d per ton.' New Sylvia, — No. 1 etope ie in 84ft south of the rise, showing sift of quartz. No. 2 stope is 73ft south. The reef is sft in width and well mineralised. No. 3 stope is in 18ft. The reef is '$Af t wide, and gold is frequently seen in the ore broken, the quartz being also heavily mineralised. At the intermediate level the drive south on No. 2 reef is 44ft_ south of the rise. The reef is 3£ft wide, and looks well. In the battery level, a rise has been started ,on the No. 2 reef to connect with the intermediate, level, and. is up ,21fL. . The reef is tho full width of the rise. In the stopea No. * 1 reef is 6ft in width, and carries nice minerals. At No. 2 level a start has been made driving a crosscut to pick Up No. 2 reef. 'Hie contractors have still sft to drive at the low level to finish their contract of 200 ft. ..
