The Manchester Guardian and the Daily News and Leader are assisting the Peace Society in an elaborate campaign against the Defence Acts of Australia and New Zealand. Letters are being published in which the writers describe the failures to attend drill and the prosecutions of defaulters. The correspondent of the Guardian states that the whole story of the New Zealand Act forms a squalid record, and he urges the Liberals to "take up the cause of unfortunate children who, being voteless, are subjected te outrageous tyranny. "
